The Normcore Spring Loaded Tamper V4 with Ripple Base is designed to make espresso tamping more consistent by combining a spring-loaded pressure system, self-leveling plate, and ripple-pattern base.
The ripple base creates a patterned indentation across the coffee puck, designed to promote more controlled water distribution and even saturation during extraction. Its improved central shaft transfers spring pressure directly to the coffee grounds, while three interchangeable springs let you select 15 lb, 25 lb, or 30 lb tamping pressure.
A leveling plate rests against the top of the filter basket during tamping, helping keep the tamper level and reduce variation from shot to shot.
