The Normcore WDT Tool V4 is designed to improve espresso puck preparation by breaking up clumps and redistributing freshly ground coffee more evenly throughout the filter basket before tamping.
Its fine stainless steel distribution needles help reduce uneven density within the coffee bed, which can contribute to channeling and inconsistent extraction. For best distribution, the needles can be worked from the lower portion of the coffee bed upward before tamping.
A convenient twist mechanism extends or retracts the needles with one full turn, allowing them to be safely stored inside the tool when not in use. The adjustable needle configuration supports up to 14 needles, giving you flexibility to customize the distribution pattern for lighter stirring or broader coverage.
